Advice on HR from Alan Ibbotson
I'm Alan Ibbotson, the Founding Partner of UKNY Consulting, a boutique HR and Change Management firm based in Manhattan. I have been in the HR field for 20 years and together with my business partner Gretchen Miller, I work with small and medium sized companies, helping them deal effectively with a wide range of people and HR challenges. We call ourselves Changeologists because our goal is to help companies overcome people and talent related difficulties to achieve significant, positive and lasting Change.
Much of the work we do at UKNY is helping small business owners deal with the basics of staff performance problems, training and development and implementing policies and procedures. With such a tight talent market these days, we also help our clients identify, articulate and market their Employer Brand -that is, the signature employee experience, values and culture of their company. This helps them attract people who are more likely to succeed and want to stick around, thereby reducing turnover costs, improving productivity and profitability too!
